As an exporter, Vusaka AS works with carefully selected producers and places strong emphasis on responsible aquaculture practices. One of the key benchmarks we recognize in our sourcing strategy is the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) standard.

ASC was developed through the WWF-initiated Salmon Dialogues to support aquaculture that is environmentally responsible, socially accountable, and economically viable. Today, it is widely regarded as a global reference for best practice in salmon farming.

Within this framework, producers operate under strict requirements related to feed quality and fish welfare. Salmon are raised on high-quality feed, without the use of growth hormones and with strict limitations on genetically modified ingredients, in line with Norwegian and international regulations.

By aligning with producers that follow ASC principles, we support consistent quality, responsible sourcing, and full traceability throughout the value chain—laying the foundation for reliable deliveries and long-term partnerships built on trust.
